BirdLife Melbourne Branch will be conducting a Bird Walk at Long Forest Flora Reserve on Mon 22 Sep meeting at Canopus Circ at 10.00am. In the afternoon we shall be going to the Picnic Area at Lake Merrimu. A recce on Mon 15, 40 species at LFR and 37 at Lake Merrimu. Days total 61.
This years we are creating trails, scavenger hunts and tours across all of Victoria on Trekker. We began with the Sunbury region and are rapidly spreading out by working with community groups. Within two weeks, we received over a 3000 people who are interested, simply by telling them about it on Facebook.
